Pershimco: Appointment as Director of Claude Arcand, Ex-Director of Cambior

CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO, Apr 10 (MARKET WIRE) --
PERSHIMCO RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE: PRO)(FRANKFURT: BIZ) is pleased
to announce that Mr. Claude Arcand has been appointed a Director of
Pershimco.

Mr. Arcand has been a businessman for over 30 years and he continues to
be active advisor, shareholder and director of several public and private
companies. Mr. Arcand previously served as a Director of Cambior Inc.
from May 1990 to May 2000, a former international gold producer.
Furthermore, he founded in 2004, and was a Director, of Nature Genetiks
Inc., until 2007. Mr. Arcand also served as President, Chief Financial
Officer, Secretary and Director of Soficap Acquisitions Inc.; Director of
ProMetic Pharma Inc., from 1996 to 1997, a biotechnology company; and was
Vice-President of Equiconcept Inc., from 1993 to 1996. Finally, Mr.
Arcand was President of the Groupe Harricana Inc., from 1986 to 1992, an
important forestry equipment and automobile parts manufacturer. Mr.
Arcand holds a B.A. from the College d'Amos and a Bachelor degree in
Commerce from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Montreal.

Mr. Alain Bureau, P. Eng., Interim President and Chief Executive Officer
of Pershimco states "Mr. Arcand brings a significant business, finance
and mining experience, notably as a former Director of Cambior Inc. for
