                         Re: Change of Fiscal Year End



The Directors of Martin Currie Absolute Return Funds Limited (the "Fund") wish
to announce that the fiscal year end of the Fund has been changed from 30 June
to 31 December each year, with immediate effect.  The Fund will now issue a two
sets of interim reports, the first covering the period 1 July 2007 until 31
December 2007 and the second set of interims covering the period from 1 Jan 2008
until 30 June 2008.
