Savings Related Share Option Scheme ("the Scheme")

In common with all eligible employees, each of the executive directors of Legal
& General Group Plc ("the Company") has been invited to participate in the
Scheme. On 10 April 2008, the following executive directors chose to take part
in the Scheme. These options were granted at a price of 98.6p per share.


C.R.R Avery was granted options over 9,736 Ordinary 2.5p shares
A.W. Palmer was granted options over 18,585 Ordinary 2.5p shares
J.B. Pollock was granted options over 17,038 Ordinary 2.5p shares

Following this grant, the Executive Directors beneficial interests were as
follows:
