BusinessWeek asked business majors at schools to rank their programs on a
scale of one to five, in 11 different academic categories. Schools are ranked
in a range of academic fields, including microeconomics, accounting, financial
management, business law, corporate strategy, and ethics.

The specialty ranking follows the BusinessWeek overall ranking released in
March which placed The College of William and Mary in the top ten of public
U.S. business schools and 29th among all U.S. business schools.

"This confirms what we already knew about our faculty's talent, commitment,
and personalized approach to business education," remarked Dean Lawrence B.
Pulley. "It is particularly pleasing because this remarkable honor for our
marketing faculty is bestowed by our students."

with roughly one-sixth of the student population seeking the business major.
At the core of the Undergraduate Business Program is the commitment to a
highly personalized, customized experience that immerses students in real
business situations. This experience incorporates a multidisciplinary approach
with an emphasis on leadership opportunities and experience gained through
study abroad, live cases, and faculty and executive mentoring. The
Undergraduate Business Program, Graduate Business Program, and Executive
Education Center comprise the Mason School of Business at The College.

The College of William and Mary, located in Williamsburg, VA, is one of the
nation's premier state-assisted liberal arts universities and believes that
excellence in teaching is the key to unlocking intellectual and personal
possibilities for students. Dedicated to this philosophy and committed to
limited enrollment, the College provides high-quality undergraduate, graduate
and professional education that prepares students to make significant
contributions to the Commonwealth of Virginia and the nation. As the
second-oldest institution of higher learning in the United States and
educational home to many early American leaders, The College is revered as the
"alma mater of a nation."
