The ULS Report Has Resumed Publication, Because Americans Didn't
                         Listen the First Time
ROCHESTER, Mich.--(Business Wire)--
The ULS Report, a newsletter dedicated to helping people conserve
resources and reduce waste, has resumed publication after an
eight-year hiatus. According to Bob Lilienfeld, Editor of the
newsletter, "Starting in 1994, we began urging Americans to reduce
their use of energy and virgin raw materials. At the time, we were
concerned that increased consumption both here and in an exploding
Chinese economy would increase the risks of both global climate change
and skyrocketing prices for gasoline, food, metals, wood and other
commodities. Unfortunately, we were right. We stopped publishing
because we thought we had said it all and people were listening.
Unfortunately, we were wrong."

The just-released April-May-June 2008 issue of the Report
discusses simple, effective ways to reduce consumption, improving the
average American's economic and environmental outlooks. It also
includes a new column called "Environy" (short for Environmental
Irony), which illustrates the Law of Unintended Consequences. Examples
are cited in which large changes made to reduce environmental
degradation have actually created equal or even bigger ecological
problems. In addition, this report features an editorial discussing
why the current paper vs. plastic bag debate is both counterproductive
and potentially harmful to the environment and its inhabitants.

The ULS Report was published on a regular basis between 1994 and
2000. Bob Lilienfeld, Editor and Publisher, also co-authored the book
Use Less Stuff: Environmental Solutions for Who We Really Are. The
current issue of the Report is available at

related research studies can be found at www.use-less-stuff.com. The
ULS Report blog is at www.uls-report.blogspot.com.
