National Osteoporosis Foundation and CESLIE - The Women's Network Honor LeFrak
Mother and Daughters for Commitment to Bone Health and New York Community

NEW YORK, April 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Osteoporosis
Foundation (NOF) has partnered with CESLIE - The Women's Network(TM) to host
an event honoring the LeFrak women - a dynamic mother-daughter trio - for
their success in business, community involvement and dedication to
osteoporosis prevention. Joan Rivers, Melissa Rivers, Jill Eikenberry, Janet
Hubert, Melba Moore, Carol Saline, Sharon Marantz Walsh and Ceslie Armstrong
will host the cocktail soiree and networking event with members of Momentum
Women, a distinguished group of business leaders, at The World Bar on
Wednesday, April 16, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

"If we cared as much about our bones as we do about our appearance,
osteoporosis wouldn't be one of the most debilitating diseases for women over
50. Osteoporosis doesn't look good on anybody," said Joan Rivers, actress,
comedienne, businesswoman and NOF Ambassador.

Mrs. Ethel LeFrak, noted philanthropist and real estate matriarch, has
suffered many osteoporosis related fractures over the years. Her daughters,
Denise LeFrak Calicchio and Francine LeFrak Friedberg, prominent New York
businesswomen, have joined their mother in supporting NOF and its efforts for
bone health awareness. "With a woman's risk of breaking her hip from
osteoporosis being equal to her combined risk of breast, uterine and ovarian
cancer, we are most grateful for the efforts of the LeFrak women to increase
awareness of this disease," said Carol Saline, Board of Trustees member for
the National Osteoporosis Foundation.

This event launches NOF's A Gift from Mothers to Daughters concept of passing
along the gift of knowledge of bone health and osteoporosis awareness to
future generations. NOF will host a Mothers and Daughters luncheon to
celebrate this gift on September 24, 2008 at The Pierre Hotel in New York
City.

"We are so pleased to partner with the National Osteoporosis Foundation in
celebrating women's strength and bone health," said Ceslie Armstrong,
editor-in-chief of CESLIE - The Women's Network(TM). "There is nothing more
fashionable than strong bones that help you stand tall."
