Veteran in Providing Payment and Billing Services to Carriers as
Both CEO and Board Director Fills Remaining Seat on Danal's Board
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Danal, Inc. (www.danalcorp.com), a private US-based technology
company that is jointly funded by Morgenthaler Ventures
(www.morgenthaler.com) and South Korea-based Danal Co., Ltd.
(www.danal.co.kr), the global leader and pioneer in charging online
transactions to the mobile phone bill, announced today that Brian E.
Boyle, Ph.D., a veteran technology company steward, has joined its
Board of Directors.

"Dr. Boyle has led many successful technology companies -
including several in the wireless sector - from their earliest stages
into maturity, both as a CEO and as a board member," said Paul Kim,
founding CEO of Danal, Inc. "Through his experience and networks, he
brings tremendous insight and creativity to Danal, which will help us
navigate the challenges that fast-growth technology companies
typically face."

Ken Gullicksen, Partner at Morgenthaler Ventures, Danal's lead
investor, added, "Brian's fit with Danal is excellent. Not only is he
well-respected in the technology industry for his achievements, but
his rich experience in high-volume payment processing and billing, as
it pertains to consumers and mobile carriers, makes him the clear
choice for this position."

Boyle commented, "I'm very pleased to be a part of Danal and what
it is doing here in North America. I've seen a lot of interesting
companies in the past, but rarely one like this, which has the right
combination of an innovative business model, successful track record
of global leadership, and a committed management team that can get
things done. I've been impressed with everything they've accomplished
thus far, and I am eager to contribute to the company's success going
forward."

   About Danal, Inc.

Danal, Inc. is a US-based technology company that is affiliated
with Danal Co., Ltd., a public South Korean company that is the global
leader in charging online transactions to the mobile phone bill. Danal
Co., Ltd. pioneered this space worldwide by launching the first-ever
commercial service in South Korea in 2000. In May 2007, US-based
Danal, Inc. raised $9.5 million in venture financing led by
Morgenthaler Ventures to commercialize its service for the US market.

Danal allows consumers to purchase goods and services online via
its BilltoMobile(TM) service by charging purchases directly to their
regular mobile phone bills securely, with no up-front registrations or
ties to credit cards or bank accounts. This service has already seen
wide adoption in Asia. In 2007, South Koreans alone charged close to
$1.5 billion worth of transactions to their mobile phone bills
including 70% of all digital content purchased online in South Korea.
Danal Co., Ltd., the global market leader, currently owns
approximately 50% of global market share. Danal Co., Ltd. is the only
company to have integrated a significant number of mobile carriers (a
total of 14) on both pre-paid and post-paid platforms in multiple
countries, including South Korea, Taiwan, and China. Danal is the
undisputed, global market leader in this space.
