CSX railroad plans improvements to coal shipping

HOUSTON, April 10 (Reuters) - CSX Transportation Inc (CSX.N) on Thursday announced $9 million worth of upgrades to important facilities used to ship coal, a news release said.

Track and structure work will be done at the Erwin, Tennessee, yard, and new technology and eight new employees will smooth train movements through the mountains, CSX said. (Reporting by Bruce Nichols; Editing by David Gregorio)
