PARIS, April 11 (Reuters) - Gaz de France GAZ.PA said on Friday that it had signed with Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) a long-term supply contract for 10 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

"The LNG will be delivered to European terminals, in which Gaz de France possesses reception capacity. The deliveries will begin in 2014 at the latest," Gaz de France said in a statement.

Gaz de France, Europe's largest importer of LNG, said that the deal reinforces the diversification of its sources of supply.
