API Joins MacAulay-Brown C-130 Center Wing Replacement Program

("API"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Aviation Services Inc., today joined the C-130 Center Wing Box Replacement Program led by MacAulay-Brown, Inc ("MacB"). API will source over 30,000 fasteners and other hardware components and deliver kitted shipsets to the Center Wing Box production line. The MacAulay-Brown C-130 Center Wing Box Replacement Solution extends the service life of C-130 B, E & H model (as well as the commercial L-100) center wing structures for a minimum of 30,000 additional Equivalent Baseline Hours ("EBH") without recurring fatigue inspections or flight restrictions. MacAulay-Brown team member TIMCO Aviation Services in Lake City, FL will provide modification facilities and touch labor. Kellstrom Industries willsupply all new structural material for the center wing replacement. MacAulay-Brown, the prime contractor, serves as program manager and leads engineering functions. Together, MacAulay-Brown team members have previously accomplished Center Wing Box Replacement work on 123 C-130A aircraft, several of which are still flying.
