Further to the announcement on 20 February 2008, the Board of Alphameric Plc
confirms the retirement of Dr Michael Chamberlain from the Board of the Company
effective today 17 April 2008.

The Board would like to express its sincere thanks to Michael for his valuable
contribution to the Group and the Board over the past 8 years and to wish him
well for the future.
