Tuitalk Powered by Dialogic(R) IP Media Servers to Offer Free International
Calls Sponsored by Advertisers
SAN FRANCISCO, April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- ad:tech Conference -- At the
ad:tech Conference, ARGELA-USA announced its US market entry under the service
brand of Tuitalk and its introduction of a revolutionary business model in
telecommunications. The telecommunications services are fully subsidized by
commercials that are directed to subscribers based on their profile, their
preferences and advertisers' marketing targets. The service provides
advertisers a new direct channel to a highly desirable demographic, while
opening the global market to operators who partner with Tuitalk.
Tuitalk has been built on two of the ARGELA's next-generation solutions --
MSPC Application (Multimedia Sponsored Call) and ARGELA Convergence Gateway
(CoGW) Platform. The very first customer of this service is Turk Telekom,
Turkey's wireline operator with over 20 million subscribers. Dialogic(R) IP
Media Servers are deployed in ARGELA-USA data-center located in Silicon Valley
working seamlessly with ARGELA MSPC Application. Built on these powerful
platforms, Tuitalk service provides free calls and text messages to callers.
Oguz Oktay, VP Sales of ARGELA-USA, noted, "Multimedia commercials that
Tuitalk clients play are streamed by Dialogic IP Media Servers to the
end-users. A wide range of content formats and streaming protocols are
supported by the IP Media Servers. This allows us to play multiple content
types to the end-user at different stages of the service with dynamically
changing streaming methods."
"Today's announcement reaffirms Dialogic's commitment in providing our
partners flexible and easily scalable architecture that can be used to tryout
a new service on a single low-cost server or to deploy a high-capacity
solution using blade-server technology," said Jim Machi, Senior Vice President
of Marketing, Dialogic. "We congratulate ARGELA Technologies on bringing their
unique business model and innovative services to the US marketplace."
For advertisers, Tuitalk not only provides a new venue but can also enable
innovative services leveraging profile information that users provide to make
the free calls. Tuitalk addresses several serious issues that have emerged in
recent years for advertisers. For example, with Tuitalk, there is no
possibility of the customer fast-forwarding through the advertisement: the
call service begins only after the advertisement finishes. The advertisement
also does not compete with other advertisements for the viewer's attention, as
Web or print advertisements commonly must do.
