Oncor Service Area Residents Eligible for $50 Reward for Turning in Old, Working Refrigerators and Freezers

DALLAS--(Business Wire)--
Oncor announced today that it has rolled out the Great Texas
Refrigerator Roundup, a program designed to collect and recycle old,
inefficient refrigerators and freezers from consumers whose power is
delivered by Oncor. In addition to saving energy, eligible consumers
will receive a $50 check from Appliance Recycling Centers of America
(ARCA) for turning in a working refrigerator or freezer.

The Great Texas Refrigerator Roundup, one of the many programs
Oncor offers as part of its Take a Load Off, Texas(SM) initiative,
provides both energy-saving and environmental benefits.

"Old refrigerators and freezers are some of the largest energy
users in the home and can cause environmental damage if not disposed
of properly," said Mike Stockard, director, Oncor energy efficiency
programs. "By participating in the Great Texas Refrigerator Roundup
program, consumers will save energy, help to protect Texas' natural
resources through environmentally sound appliance recycling, and earn
a $50 reward for their efforts."

Consumers in the Oncor service area who want to participate in the
program, which will be offered for a limited time on a first-come,
first-served basis, will need the ESI ID number from their electric
bills when calling 1-866-472-9376 or visiting www.OncorRecycle.com to
schedule a collection appointment. Oncor's contractor, Appliance
Recycling Centers of America, Inc. (ARCA), will provide in-home
collection, proper management of environmentally harmful materials
contained in the appliances, and recycling of steel, aluminum, copper,
and plastic.

Oncor is a regulated electric distribution and transmission
business that uses superior asset management skills to provide
reliable electricity delivery to consumers. Oncor operates the largest
distribution and transmission system in Texas, providing power to 3
million electric delivery points over more than 102,000 miles of
distribution and 14,000 miles of transmission lines. While Oncor is a
subsidiary of Energy Future Holdings Corp., Oncor is a
separate entity that reports to a separate board that is comprised of
a majority of independent directors.

ARCA (www.arcainc.com) is one of the nation's largest recyclers of
major household appliances for the energy conservation programs of
electric utilities.
