Carolyn Taylor, Dominique Varner of Hughes Watters Askanase To Speak at Texas Credit Union League Annual Meeting

HOUSTON--(Business Wire)--
Carolyn Taylor and Dominique Varner, partners with Hughes Watters
Askanase L.L.P., will be speaking at the Texas Credit Union League
(TCUL) 74th Annual Meeting and Convention on April 17 in Houston.

Taylor will address loss mitigation options and pitfalls for
mortgage lenders amidst the subprime lending crisis in one session and
litigation trends under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Acts and
the Fair Credit Reporting and the Fair and Accurate Credit
Transactions Acts in another. Varner will discuss Texas probate law,
trust accounts and a credit union's rights and role in administration
in a different session. Taylor and Varner were chosen as speakers
because of HWA's reputation in the credit union community and Taylor's
28 years and Varner's 14 years of experience representing credit
unions and active participation in the credit union movement.

"We serve so many credit unions that we try to have a presence of
some kind at TCUL's annual meeting every year," said Varner. "Although
we've presented previously at the local Houston chapter this will be
the first time a Hughes Watters Askanase attorney has spoken at the
statewide annual meeting. We're looking forward to sharing our
knowledge and expertise with the credit unions so they can better
understand their rights."

Credit union managers, officers and directors from across Texas go
to TCUL's annual meeting to attend educational sessions regarding
credit union operations. For more information or to register, please

HWA, a full service law firm, is ideally positioned to take on the
