Spigit's IdeaSpigit Selected as a Finalist for the Best of Interop Awards at
Interop Las Vegas 2008
Spigit, Microsoft and Alcatel-Lucent are the top three finalists in the
Software Category

PLEASANTON, Calif., April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Spigit, Inc., the leader in
social productivity software for the enterprise, today announced it was named
along with Microsoft (with Novell) and Alcatel-Lucent as a finalist in the
software category for the Best of Interop Las Vegas 2008 awards by TechWeb's
Information Week and Interop. Interop Las Vegas, the leading global business
technology event series, will announce winners on April 29, 2008. Spigit will
be demonstrating its software products InnovationSpigit and IdeaSpigit at
booth #2455.
Best of Interop recognizes the world's most innovative technologies across
eight major categories. The panel of judges, which is comprised of award-
winning editors from InformationWeek, selected from more than 200 companies
the products they believe have the greatest potential to impact and advance
business technology efficiencies.
"Interop has a long history as the place where important technologies are
vetted as to their readiness for enterprise use, and the Best of Interop
highlights that spirit by showcasing the top product innovations in our
industry," said Art Whittman, Editor of InformationWeek.
Spigit is a social productivity platform that utilizes advanced algorithms
and reputation-weighted analysis of social interactions to help enterprises
draw out and identify the top ideas for innovation and key contributors. To
engage users and evaluate their contributions, the platform integrates
commonly understood social networking practices with advanced feedback
mechanisms such as prediction and idea-trading markets, automated idea
graduation, weighted reputation, and an incentive and rewards system. Spigit
helps enterprises inspire and capture innovation more efficiently, ultimately
contributing to increased revenues and bottom-line growth.
"It's an honor to be recognized alongside Microsoft and Alcatel-Lucent as
having one of the most innovative enterprise software technologies this year,"
said Paul Pluschkell, CEO and founder of Spigit. "While many companies have
imagined the potential benefit of tapping into Web 2.0-type internal networks
to drive innovation, they've been faced with the challenge of how to filter
that power, make it relevant and quantifiably integrate it into their
processes. Spigit addresses this challenge by applying advanced business
analytics to the ideas generated by enterprise communities."
