PARSIPPANY, NJ, Apr 17 (MARKET WIRE) --
Today, SetFocus announced that Karl Shifflett, a SetFocus .NET Master's Program
Graduate, has received the Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) Award
which recognizes exceptional technical community leaders from around the world
who
voluntarily share their high quality, real world expertise with others.

Microsoft MVPs are a highly select group of experts representing
technology's best and
brightest who share a deep commitment to community and a willingness to help
others. Worldwide, there are over 100 million participants in technical
communities; of these participants, there are fewer than 4,000 active
Microsoft MVPs.

In order to receive the Microsoft MVP Award, MVP nominees undergo a
rigorous review process. Technical community members, current MVPs, and
Microsoft personnel may nominate candidates. A panel that includes MVP
teammembers and product group teams evaluate each nominee's technical
expertiseand voluntary community contributions for the past year. The panel
considers
the quality, quantity, and level of impact of the MVP nominee's contributions.
Active MVPs receive the same level of scrutiny as other candidates each year.

Karl Shifflett has been designing & developing business applications since
1989
and transitioned to .NET, through SetFocus' Master's Program, in March of 2003.
In April of 2007 he joined the list of WPF and Microsoft Expression fanatics &
evangelists.

Karl's major contributions to the developer community include Mole for
Visual
Studio, WPF LOB articles & blog and speaking engagements. Karl is a Microsoft
.NET MCAD, currently the .NET Architect on emGovPower's new full featured City
Government and Utility Billing WPF product. On the weekends he writes Code
Project articles, studies, develops WPF & Silverlight applications, and teaches
WPF Saturday Seminars for SetFocus.
