TerraPass Partners With 100 Businesses in First 100 Days of Carbon Balanced Business Program

Participating Companies Generate Over 70 Million Pounds of Carbon
                          Emission Reductions
SAN FRANCISCO--(Business Wire)--
TerraPass(R) (www.TerraPass.com), a leading retailer of carbon
offsets and energy efficiency products, announced that in less than
100 days since the launch of the TerraPass Carbon Balanced Business
program, 100 businesses have partnered with TerraPass to measure their
carbon footprints and balance out their carbon emissions.

The TerraPass Carbon Balanced Business program helps businesses of
all kinds balance out the carbon emissions created from their daily
operations. The first 100 businesses to join the program have balanced
out more than 70 million pounds of carbon emissions through TerraPass
projects. TerraPass funds three different project types: clean energy
produced by wind power; farm power which produces clean electricity
from animal waste; and landfill gas capture.

This innovative program features a technically advanced online
carbon calculator for businesses to determine their carbon footprints
(http://www.terrapass.com/business). Just as with TerraPass's Road,
Home and Flight calculators, the Carbon Balanced Business Program
offers free carbon calculator access with no registration required.

Solmetric, recognized for developing quality tools for the solar
installation industry, was the 100th company to partner with
TerraPass. "From the on-site solar panels powering our operations to
our manufacturing and recycling programs, sustainability is at the
heart of what we do," said Solmetric's President Willard MacDonald.
"We are excited to be part of the TerraPass program because it is a
natural extension of our commitment to not only sell products that
help improve the environment, but also to run our business in a
sustainable way."

The first 100 TerraPass Carbon Balanced Business partners include
a broad range of businesses and organizations from across the country.
They range from online businesses such as Adtegrity.com, a leading
interactive advertising and marketing agency, to the Robbinsville, New
Jersey Professional Firefighters Local 3786, and to service businesses
such as St. Louis' Pi restaurant.

"We're excited that so many businesses are working with us to
fight global warming so soon after we launched our Carbon Balanced
Business program," said TerraPass CEO Erik Blachford. "It's a clear
demonstration that businesses all over the country see value in
showing both their employees and their customers that they are willing
and able to do something about climate change."

The TerraPass online business calculator, a first of its kind,
considers five aspects of a typical organization's carbon footprint:
on-site energy use, off-site server energy use, company vehicles,
business travel and employee commutes. TerraPass' online calculator
will quickly and easily guide a business owner, executive or employee
through each of these areas, detailing what information is needed for
the calculations and displaying each category's emissions in a bar
chart.

TerraPass has established a badge system for partners of the
Carbon Balanced Business program. The badge program provides
businesses a way to communicate with customers, employees,
shareholders, donors, or other stakeholders regarding their commitment
to the environment. The TerraPass badge comes in three levels,
corresponding to the amount of carbon reduced in a current year.

All TerraPass emissions calculations are based on the World
Resources Institute (WRI) Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the most widely
used international accounting tool for greenhouse gas emissions. Every
TerraPass offset is a real, verified carbon emissions reduction
achieved in the same year as its purchase. For businesses that would
like to participate or find out more information about the Carbon
Balance Business Program, visit http://www.terrapass.com/business/, or
email TerraPass at business@terrapass.com.

Launched in 2004, TerraPass is a leading consumer retailer and
marketer of greenhouse gas reduction offsets and consumer energy
efficiency products. More than 150,000 TerraPasses have been sold to
individuals, families and businesses to balance out the global warming
impact of their flying, driving and home and office energy use.
Together, TerraPass members have reduced over 850 million pounds of
carbon dioxide emissions, the primary cause of climate change.
TerraPass carbon offsets fund clean energy and carbon reduction
projects throughout the U.S., including wind power, farm power, and
landfill gas capture. Every TerraPass offset purchase is verified
against industry leading standards by an independent third party. For
