AXA Rosenberg Long Short Strategies Trust (the "Trust")

Re: Appointment to the Board of Directors of the Trust's management
company, AXA Rosenberg Management Ireland Limited (the "Manager")

The Board of Directors of the Manager wish to announce that Mr. Jean-Benoit
Naudin was appointed as director of the Manager, with effect from 15 April 2008.

Mr. Jean-Benoit Naudin

Mr. Jean-Benoit Naudin graduated with a Masters in Management from ESSEC and a
Masters in Management from the French Banking Industry (CESB). He has been with
AXA Investment Managers, Paris, since 1999, initially as Chief Financial Officer
and since 2002 as Chief Operating Officer, the position he holds currently.
Prior to joining AXA IM, Mr. Naudin was Chief Financial Officer with Barclays
Capital France SA from 1990 and a Branch manager with Barclays Bank SA from 1987
to 1990.

Mr. Naudin has:

(i) no unspent convictions in relation to indictable offences;

(ii) never been declared bankrupt or been the subject of an
individual voluntary arrangement, nor has a receiver been appointed to any of
his assets;

(iii) never been a director with an executive function of any
company at the time of or within the 12 months preceding such company's
bankruptcy, receivership, administration, compulsory liquidation, creditors
voluntary liquidation, company voluntary arrangement or composition or
arrangement with its creditors generally;

(iv) never been publicly criticised by any statutory or regulatory
authority;

(v) never been disqualified by a court from acting as a director
of a company or from acting in the management or conduct of the affairs of any
company;

(vi) never been a partner of any partnership at the time of or
within the 12 months preceding a receiver being appointed over such
partnership's assets or at the time of or within the 12 months preceding such
partnership's compulsory liquidation, administration or partnership voluntary
arrangement.

A list of past and current directorships and partnerships held Mr. Jean-Benoit
Naudin over the past 5 years is available for inspection on request for a period
of 14 days from the date of this announcement from J&E Davy, Davy House, 49
