Rohm and Haas Introduces Avanse(TM) ST-410 Emulsion New Technology for Semi-transparent Deck and Siding Stains

Rohm and Haas (NYSE:ROH) has launched an environmentally-advanced,
innovative binder, Avanse(TM) ST-410 emulsion, to the North American
coatings market. This new high-performance, 100% acrylic, water-borne
polymer can be formulated to meet the toughest VOC standards and still
outperform traditional solvent and waterborne semi-transparent stain
technologies.

Semi-transparent stains based on Avanse(TM) ST-410 emulsion do not
require coalescent or heavy metal driers; they are easy to apply; and
they enhance the appearance of new and weathered wood with a
long-lasting finish. The combination of morphology and unique particle
stabilization maximizes the flow and lapping characteristics during
application, while building early resistance properties upon drying.

Avanse(TM) ST-410 emulsion is the first emulsion for
semi-transparent deck and siding stains based on proprietary
