MidSouth Bancorp, Inc. Declares Regular Dividend

LAFAYETTE, La., April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of MidSouth
Bancorp Inc. announced a cash dividend was declared in the amount of seven
cents($.07) per share to be paid on its common stock on July 1, 2008 to
shareholders of record on June 16, 2008.  It is the intention of the Board to
continue to pay these cash dividends on a quarterly basis.
    MidSouth's stock is traded on the American Stock Exchange under the
symbol MSL.
