Card Guard confirms strong growth trend for new LifeStar ACT device in US market
- Since 14 April 2008 more billable patients than in full year 2007 - LifeStar ACT in use by 50 top-ranking US hospitals and medical centers
Neuhausen am Rheinfall / Switzerland - 16 April 2008 - Card Guard AG (SWX Swiss Exchange: CARDG) today announced a new record for its new Ambulatory Cardiac Telemetry device LifeStar ACT. Until 14 April 2008 the system has been distributed to 6,134 patients. This number includes more patients than in the full year 2007, when 6,132 patients were equipped and treated with the monitoring system. In January 2008 the system was distributed to 1,187 patients, in February 2008 it was distributed to 1,612 patients, and in March 2008 it was distributed to 2,327 patients. The treatment with LifeStar ACT receives above-average reimbursement by most health and insurance providers.
