Danish shipper Norden raises profit outlook

COPENHAGEN, April 17 (Reuters) - Danish shipper Norden (DNORD.CO) raised its full-year profit outlook on Thursday after selling one of its ships.

Norden now expects 2008 net profit of between $870 million and $950 million, up from its previous forecast of $750 million to $830 million.

The company said it sold one of its bulk carriers for $72.75 million.

At the beginning of April, the company had an active fleet of 212 vessels, with 90 more due for future delivery.
