Spain's Prisa Q1 net profit up 4.1 pct yr/yr

MADRID, April 17 (Reuters) - Spanish media firm Prisa (PRS.MC) posted on Thursday a 4.1 percent rise in first quarter net profit to 25.2 million euros ($40.2 million), in line with expectations and underpinned by strong advertising revenues.

Net profit at the owner of newspaper El Pais was expected to have risen to 25.6 million euros, according to a Reuters survey of five analysts.

Revenues rose 7.2 percent to 958.4 million euros, versus the survey averge of 946.5 million euros. (Reporting by Elisabeth O'Leary; Editing by Jane Barrett)
