WH Smith CEO sees 3-4 pct upgrade to FY forecasts

LONDON, April 17 (Reuters) - British bookseller and stationer WH Smith Plc's (SMWH.L) Chief Executive Kate Swann expects the market's consensus profit forecast to rise by around 3-4 percent after better-than-expected first-half figures.

Swann expects analysts to increase their full-year pretax profit forecast to 74 million pounds ($145.8 million) from around 71-72 million pounds, having already spoken to some analysts, she told journalists on a conference call on Thursday.
