Whirlpool, Hisense in China appliance venture

ATLANTA, April 28 (Reuters) - Whirlpool Corp (WHR.N), the world's top appliance maker, on Monday said it is teaming with China's Hisense-Kelon Electrical Holdings Co Ltd to deliver refrigerators and laundry products to Chinese consumers.

Hisense will make refrigerators and Whirlpool will produce washing machines for the 50-50 joint venture, Whirlpool said in a statement. (Reporting by Karen Jacobs, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
