NEW YORK May 8 (Reuters) - Aluminum company Alcoa Inc (AA.N) said on Thursday its board elected President and Chief Operating Officer Klaus Kleinfeld to replace Alain Belda as chief executive officer,

Belda, 64, will continue as chairman of the board and German-born Kleinfeld, 50, who joined Alcoa from Siemens (SIEGn.DE) last August, will retain the position of president.
