Immersive Video Company Funded by Oxantium Ventures PORTLAND, Ore. & WASHINGTON--(Business Wire)-- iMove Inc, the leader in immersive video solutions for mission-critical security and surveillance applications, announced today the completion of a $4.25 million round of venture financing. Oxantium Ventures, a premier technology investment firm, is the lead investor in this second round of funding. Drew Bewick from Oxantium Ventures will join the iMove Board of Directors. iMove's software integrates multi-stream video from standard surveillance cameras providing users with an unprecedented immersive video experience. Its wide-area immersive view solutions overcome the limitations of today's video surveillance products to give customers situational awareness critical to threat detection and response. iMove's solutions, used world-wide to protect lives and property, range from small, man-portable video mapping solutions to large-facility, real-time video surveillance. All solutions employ iMove's leading immersive-view software integrated with commercially-available IT and broad-band video technology. "Our success with immersive video solutions fielded over the past 24 months with leading national security agencies has created significant new customer opportunities," said iMove's President and CEO, John Herring. "This investment enables us to expand our business and operations and continue to deliver best-of-class service to our customer base. "We are especially proud that Oxantium with its strong strategic market insight into iMove's business has joined as an investor and Board participant." "Oxantium is pleased to be the lead investor for this round of investment in iMove," said Oxantium's Drew Bewick. "iMove's business potential and the superiority of its solutions led us to believe iMove solutions have multiple applications in other areas of computing beyond the important critical infrastructure protection market; technologies like this will become increasingly important as immersive environments merge virtual worlds with physical reality. This investment fits well with Oxantium's portfolio strategy; especially since iMove's open architecture integrates so easily with other applications." In related news, iMove recently opened offices in the Washington D.C. area and relocated its Portland headquarters to new facilities that provide increased space for operations and product integration.
