Acton School of Business Creates a Platform for Growth with Second Annual Angel Network Event

AUSTIN, Texas--(Business Wire)--
The Acton School of Business will stage its second annual Acton
Angel Network Event on May 22 at the Four Seasons connecting promising
young entrepreneurs with area angel investors.

Acton (www.actonmba.org) has again partnered with the Central
Texas Angel Network to provide a day of education and networking.

The event includes key note speaker and well-known angel investor
Mike Maples, who will discuss the state of angel investing and "the
ideal investment," and Matt Lyons of Andrews Kurth LLP who will give
attendees a taste of what it is like to experience a term sheet
negotiation, from all sides of the table. Using a mock-negotiation
format, Lyons will provide feedback and real-life advice to
entrepreneurs.

"The educational component of this years' event is very important
to the Acton School of Business," said Acton's Executive Director,
Georgia Spaeth. "We wanted to give those coming to the conference a
small sample of what it is like as a student at Acton, pursuing an MBA
in Entrepreneurship."

Entrepreneurs that attended last year's event can attest to the
opportunity to raise capital, or at least initiate relationships with
angel investors. Two companies that participated last year have had
great success. TenantMarket.com was recently purchased and
DisplayPoints, Inc., has begun rolling out its digital media devices
at restaurants all over the country.

"Last year's Acton Angel Network Event led to us securing initial
capital that has paved the way for our company's success in the
restaurant industry," said Brandon Willard (Acton 2006), Chief
Operating Officer at DisplayPoints.

Entrepreneurs in the community are invited to attend this year's
event for a fee of $30. For more information, call 512-703-1236.

The Acton MBA in Entrepreneurship is offered through Hardin
Simmons University.
