Japan's Ibiden to set up 1 bln rgt Malaysian plant

KUALA LUMPUR May 20 (Reuters) - Japanese printed circuit board maker Ibiden Co. Ltd (4062.T) will spend more than 1 billion ringgit ($308 million) over 10 years to set up a manufacturing plant in Malaysia, the company said on Tuesday.

The new plant will make multilayer printed circuit boards, the company said in a statement which was jointly issued with the Malaysian government. ($1=3.247 Malaysian Ringgit) (Reporting by Soo Ai Peng, editing by Tomasz Janowski)
