Solace Systems Appoints Ralph Frankel as CTO - Goldman Sachs Executive to
Provide Financial Services Industry Insight and Leadership

OTTAWA, May 20 /PRNewswire/ - Solace Systems, the leading
supplier of high-speed, low-latency content networking systems, today
announced the appointment of former Goldman Sachs executive Ralph Frankel as
chief technology officer, financial services. Mr. Frankel will be responsible
for steering the company's technology vision and working closely with
financial services customers to help them derive maximum value from their
investment in hardware-based high-speed messaging and content networking.
Prior to joining Solace, Mr. Frankel spent four years at Goldman Sachs as
the vice president of technology, application & systems infrastructure. He
served as the global head of messaging engineering and was responsible for
messaging product procurement, messaging architectures, and global deployments
for a variety of front and back office technologies. He also spearheaded
several initiatives in the ultra-low latency space and worked very closely
with several start-up vendors in this capacity. Before his stint at Goldman,
Mr. Frankel was responsible for software development of a new order routing
infrastructure and front office technology for major hedge fund companies
including Millennium Partners and DE Shaw.
