SUNNYVALE, CA, May 20 (MARKET WIRE) --
Yosemite Technologies, Inc., a global provider of total data protection
solutions, today announced it has expanded its reach in the European market
via new partnerships with Adagio Technologies, Northamber and Virtual
Subsidiary. These distribution agreements will not affect Yosemite's existing
relationships in Europe; only increase its presence in the region.
For storage, software and hardware solutions, Yosemite has partnered with
value added distributor Adagio Technologies, which focuses on continuous data
management, backup and high availability solutions in all environments in
Germany,
Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Founded by former Symantec, CommVault and EMC
Legato employees, Adagio Technologies has an experienced pedigree in the storage
market.
"It is important for us to expand our product offering to include only
best-of-breed solutions specifically addressing the SMB market," said Hans
Braun, Adagio sales manager. "With customer demand for innovative
solutionson the rise, Yosemite Technologies and their Yosemite Backup solution
will
play a key part in serving our clients through award-winning products."
Yosemite's new agreement with Northamber makes the leading United Kingdom
(UK) IT
distributor Yosemite's largest distribution partner in that country. Under the
terms of the deal, Northamber will distribute all of Yosemite's products
from its traditional Yosemite Backup(TM) solutions for servers to its new
market leading FileKeeper Professional suite for continuous laptop and PC
data protection. Yosemite is providing full product and sales training to
Northamber's sales team in order to roll out the solutions to its network of
resellers.
"Yosemite's strong backup solutions will enable us to drive new revenues and
deliver greater choice to our business customers with storage needs," stated
Jared Cary, product channels director at Northamber. "Yosemite's products allow
us
to offer a complete solution from the core to the edge of a company's
network using Yosemite FileKeeper laptop and desktop continuous data protection
software and the server based Yosemite Backup(TM) suite of products."
Yosemite has also partnered with Virtual Subsidiary, a company in the UK
that incorporates a very pro-active, value-add distribution business. Virtual
Subsidiary prides itself in being a company that can move with the market,
sighting flexibility as one of its key attributes along with its expertise in
the products that it distributes. This new partnership is very strategic for
both companies. Virtual Subsidiary's expertise offers Yosemite the opportunity
to expand into new markets and, by offering Yosemite FileKeeper, Virtual
Subsidiary has the opportunity to distribute a new product that has the
potential to be the next big thing.
"Yosemite FileKeeper has sparked a high level of interest from our
traditional customer base and with some new partners we are working with," said
Rob Oliphant, president and CEO, Virtual Subsidiary. "We are very excited
about the opportunities that we see opening up."
"The excellent teams in place at our new partners make them the right
matchas Yosemite Technologies' expands its presence in EMEA," said George
Symons, CEO
of Yosemite. "These partnerships will build on our base in these national
markets and provide significant value in the SMB and enterprise markets.
Yosemite Backup, with is new Unlimited Server product, will be very appealing to
our new distributors' SMB partners. Additionally, the distributors will provide
a
great launch pad for Yosemite's new award winning FileKeeper product line,
which provides continuous data protection for laptops and desktops."
Yosemite Backup is the only data protection solution that runs natively on
Windows, Netware or Linux, provides all options and agents from a single binary
image, and enables agent and option additions through a simple license key. This
eliminates the need for "rip and replace" upgrades and data protection
solutions can expand quickly and easily as the environment grows.
The Yosemite FileKeeper family, FileKeeper Professional and FileKeeper
Corporate, is
designed to provide transparent and continuous data protection without the
need to manage backup schedules, rotate media, or spend hours looking
through media to recover a file. Once set, FileKeeper continuously protects
documents and enables recovery easily through Windows Explorer right-click
menus.
File recoveries are simple and easy using FileKeeper's intuitive,
context-sensitive right-click menus that virtually eliminate file recovery-based
help desk calls.
