Retirement Income Security Ventures Group
Three industry experts join the RISV leadership team

PHILADELPHIA, May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lincoln Financial Group
(NYSE: LNC) recently announced a significant development for its Retirement
Income Security Ventures (RISV) group with the appointments of Bobby
Greenberg, Austin Rosenthal and Todd Manke to head its Innovation initiatives.
Understanding that retirement is no longer an end but a transition to a new
phase of life, Lincoln Financial established the RISV group in November 2006
as a research and development unit with unique capabilities to identify and
help the business segments across Lincoln Financial maximize emerging market
opportunities.

    About Bobby Greenberg, Vice President/Head of Consumer Insights and
Strategic Intelligence for RISV
    Industry veteran Bobby Greenberg has been named vice president of consumer
strategy for RISV.  Greenberg leads the group's efforts in creating data
driven solutions to better understand and meet consumer needs.  In this
position, Greenberg will employ techniques to capture and analyze market
information, implement strategic insight into development of new products and
services, and collaborate on the execution of primary research in support of
the company's objectives. Greenberg also serves as director of the Lincoln
Retirement(SM) Institute, an organization within Lincoln Financial created to
conduct research, organize the intellectual capital of the company and work
with external thinkers on retirement subjects that are relevant to the baby
boomer generation.
    Prior to joining Lincoln Financial, Greenberg served as group vice
president at Affinion Loyalty Group (ALG), where he led the marketing
organization by overseeing product and partner development, client solutions
and branding. Previously, Greenberg led marketing and analysis of new card
concepts at Capital One, and also spent time at Dell Computer.
    About Austin Rosenthal, Assistant Vice President and Director of
Innovation for RISV
Austin Rosenthal, recently appointed assistant vice president and director
of innovation for RISV, works alongside Greenberg in driving the
organization's commitment to progressive research.  In his role, Rosenthal
will spearhead the group's innovation process from idea generation through
experimentation.  Rosenthal is responsible for driving these initiatives
throughout the enterprise by creating and cultivating new concepts that will
increase value for the company.  In addition, Rosenthal will focus on
protecting the company's inventions through intellectual property strategies.
    Formerly, Rosenthal was managing director at Integrated Finance Limited
(IFL) where he was responsible for business development, client coverage,
operations and project management in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany.
Prior to IFL, Rosenthal served as an associate in JP Morgan's investment
banking organization.
    About Todd Manke, Director, Consumer Insights for RISV
Todd Manke has been named director of consumer insights for RISV, and
works directly with Greenberg to develop the organization's insights
capability.  Manke will act as the voice of target consumers, specifically
affluent baby boomers, providing business insight on the needs, preferences
and trends that influence purchase decisions. Through data-driven research,
Manke will build the organizational structure, functional capabilities and
performance metrics to support RISV's commitment to growth and innovation.
    Most recently, Manke was senior manager of statistical analysis at Capital
One Auto Finance where he led a team of statisticians in model building and
analysis to understand customer performance and drive profitability for the
company.  Prior to this, he served in business development roles at Capital
One and DaimlerChrysler AG.
