Strategist Mark Penn, Author Terri Morrison Keynote CASRO's 33rd Annual
Conference
PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Mark Penn, renowned
political/corporate advisor and author of the best-selling book Microtrends:
The Small Forces Behind Tomorrow's Big Changes, will kick off the Council of
American Survey Research Organization's 33rd Annual Conference, October 15-17,
2008 in Palm Beach, Florida. Registration for the event is now open via
www.casro.org. Terri Morrison, President of Getting Through Customs and author
of Kiss, Bow or Shake Hands, will open the second day of the event.
In line with the conference theme -- "Anticipating Trends; Creating Your
Future," sessions throughout the conference will focus on identifying market
forces and positioning research businesses for future success. "We're pleased
to welcome two entertaining and enlightening keynote speakers to this year's
agenda," said Diane K. Bowers, President of CASRO. "Each year CASRO's Annual
Conference is the place for research business executives to meet and share
their knowledge and experience." Also on the conference agenda are sessions on
finding and creating value through scenario planning and via in-depth
financial analysis as well as sessions on "mobile" and "word of mouth"
research. The second day of the conference will focus on globalization
trends, keynoted by Morrison, an expert on international protocol.
Combining innovative techniques to win major corporate, marketing and
political battles, Mark Penn, CEO of PR firm Burson-Marsteller, and President
of the polling firm Penn, Schoen and Berland, serves as strategic consultant
to Fortune 500 companies and CEOs on a wide range of image, branding and
corporate reputation issues. Dubbed "The Guru of Small Things" (New York
Times), "Master of the Message" (Time magazine) and "King of the Polls"
(London Times), Penn has garnered acclaim and a welcoming ear from Bill
Clinton, Tony Blair, Bill Gates and many other leaders of companies and
countries. In Microtrends, Penn explains how smaller currents and discreet
demographics -- not megatrends -- are creating social niches and driving
unique patterns of change in politics, business and society.
Exhibition space and sponsorship opportunities are available. The backdrop
for this year's conference is one of the most renowned luxury oceanfront
resorts in the world. The Breakers, which was built in 1926 on 140 acres on
the island of Palm Beach, Florida, is listed on the National Register of
Historic Places.
