Former Head of IBM Research to Help Shape Strategic Direction of Software Firm

AGOURA HILLS, Calif., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Conversive, Inc., the leading
provider of automated web-chat software, today announced the addition of Paul
M. Horn, PhD., to its Board of Directors.  Dr. Horn is currently the
Distinguished Scientist in Residence and the Stern Executive in Residence at
New York University.  Prior to those appointments he was a corporate Senior
Vice President and Executive Director of Research at IBM Corp., where he
oversaw IBM Research Group, the world's largest and most prolific research
organization dedicated to information technology, with over 3,000 researchers
at eight labs worldwide.

wide number of awards including the 1988 Bertram Eugene Warren Award from the
American Crystallographic Association, the 2000 Distinguished Leadership Award
from the New York Hall of Science, the 2002 Hutchison Medal from the
University of Rochester, and the 2002 Pake Prize from the American Physical
Society. In 2003 Dr. Horn was named as one of the top computing business
leaders in the U.S. by Scientific American magazine.  He is also a member of
several professional committees, such as the GAO (General Accountability
Office) board of advisors and the board of trustees of the Committee for
Economic Development.
