New Discovery by Typhoon at More Than 450 Meters of the Fayolle Deposit

LAVAL, QUEBEC, May 20 (MARKET WIRE) --
Typhoon Exploration Inc. ("Typhoon")(TSX VENTURE: TOO) announces a
third series of results of 19 drill holes completed during winter 2008 on
the Fayolle property owned 100% by Typhoon.. The new results relate to
the FA-08-08, 09 and 10 holes.

The FA-08-09 drill holes has intersected a new gold zone of 1,45 g/t Au
over 6,0 meters, 450 meters (1,480 feet) east of the Fayolle deposit.
This new gold mineralization was investigated following the compilation
of the GOCAD data surveys realized by the firm during the fall 2007 and
winter 2008 campaign. A litho-geochemical anomaly for the drill holes
most east of the Fayolle deposit combined with a geophysical anomaly
detected by the aerial survey has motivated the firm to investigate this
area. The gold mineralization is linked to a komatiite host intensely
altered with brown spar, albite and fuschite to a large felsic intrusion
of intermediate composition. It is noteworthy that the alterations and
the intrusion show strong similarities with those observed on the Fayolle
main deposit.

The other two drill holes were completed in the west and central west
area of the property to purposefully further investigate west of the
lateral extensions as well as the vertical depth of the mineralized zones
of the Fayolle showing. The best intervals for the FA-08-08 and FA-08-10

on the east and southeast area following the significant results for the
FA-08-09 holes. The work also continues in the west and northwest area as
