Bel Air Internet Gets 2008 PGA TOUR's Northern Trust Open 'Out of the Rough'
With Wireless Broadband Internet Connection
LOS ANGELES, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of an overall effort to
improve the internet service for the media at the 2008 PGA TOUR's Northern
Trust Open, Bel Air Internet was chosen to provide ultra high speed internet
service for hundreds of reporters and photographers at the media center.
In previous years, media reporters at the tournament which is held at the
Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California, experienced difficulty
submitting their stories by deadline via the DSL connection. The slow DSL
speeds and interruption of service prompted both media and tournament
organizers to look for an internet provider that could meet the high bandwidth
needs of the media. "Bel Air Internet did a fantastic job for our tournament,"
said Northern Trust Open Tournament Director, Tom Pulchinski. "We were totally
satisfied with their entire operation from installation through to the great
100% uptime service."
According to Terry Koosed, president of Bel Air Internet, "hundreds of
reporters and media personnel were able to submit their stories, pictures and
videos to their newsrooms with lightening speed during the entire weeklong
tournament. We were thrilled to be part of this prestigious event."
