Honeywell Automation India Limited Receives the Frost & Sullivan ''Brand Leadership'' and the ''Product Leadership'' Awards in the Indian DCS Industry 2007

MUMBAI, India--(Business Wire)--
Honeywell Automation India Limited (HAIL) has received the
prestigious "Brand Leadership" and "Product Leadership" awards in the
Indian Distributed Control Systems (DCS) industry from Frost &
Sullivan. The awards are based on detailed research seeking to
recognize best practices and outstanding performance by companies in
the automation and drives industry in India.

Frost & Sullivan's "Brand Leadership Award" is presented to the
company that has been able to create a high degree of preference among
the customers. A company's ability to consistently offer products and
services of immense value, supported by effective brand communication
to instill customer confidence, are key parameters contributing to
eligibility for this award.

The "Product Leadership Award" is recognition of a company's
effort in optimizing its product line and populating it with the most
desirable features. A company's ability to consistently bring new
innovation in its product line coupled with flexibility in tailoring
product offerings to suit customer businesses are some of the key
requirements to win this award.

On receiving the award, Mr. Vimal Kapur, Managing Director of HAIL
said, "The awards are recognition of our commitment to delivering
superior products and solutions to our customers. We would like to
thank our customers for their continued support and for entrusting
HAIL with opportunities to provide them with DCS solutions to improve
and sustain their business performance. HAIL is committed to
increasing customers' performance by enhancing our portfolio to
provide integrated and robust solutions. Receiving these awards will
further boost our commitment to the DCS industry in India."

According to Mr. Y.S. Shashidhar, Vice President, South Asia and
Middle East, Frost & Sullivan, "The fact that HAIL has won the
appreciation of the DCS end-user community as the most preferred brand
is the testimony to its over two decades of unwavering commitment to
the process industry in India through its solutions. HAIL holds an
exemplary leadership position in the process control technology with
industry-leading products like the Experion PKS which has brought
unprecedented levels of synergy between assets, processes and people.
It is no surprise that end users have voted HAIL as the product leader
in the DCS industry in India."

Frost & Sullivan's Excellence Awards in Automation and Drives is
based on voice of the customers. The basis for identification of best
practices and practitioners is an extensive automation and drives end
user research conducted across the user segments of automation and
drives products.

A massive exercise on a national scale was undertaken wherein 235
key industry participants were engaged in a face to face discussion.
The respondents were asked to provide usage details, assign weightage
to key selection criteria and the performance of the current brand(s)
against a set of relevant criteria. Followed up by extensive analysis,
the domain experts from Frost & Sullivan's Automation practice
leveraged their industry tracking experience, interaction with
consumers, understanding of product features and technology and
marketing strategies to rate the product suppliers in the order of
their merit.
