Althea Technologies Celebrates Ten Years of Building Innovation With Charity Connection

SAN DIEGO, CA, May 20 (MARKET WIRE) --

company's tenth anniversary. Althea Technologies began operation in April of
1998 with a focus on producing purified DNA in three small labs at a biotech

To kick off the anniversary celebration and to give back to the local
community, Althea has created a unique event coined "Althea's Charity
Connection." This event will connect individuals with charitable organizations
in an
exhibition setting on Althea's San Diego campus. The event, scheduled for
May 21, 2008 at 10am - 2pm, will showcase over 25 local and national
charities from the American Red Cross to Voices for Children (full list
follows).

Also as part of the 10th anniversary celebration, Althea will be
announcingseveral new programs including the "MyAlthea" initiative at the BIO
2008
Convention in San Diego. This program makes it easier for innovative startup
companies to bring their therapeutic product to market faster by offering
rapid manufacturing solutions, flexible contracts, and online program management
tools.
