FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--(Business Wire)--
Today Farmington Hills City Councilman, Robert Mason has formally
announced that he will be seeking re-election to the City Council this
August.

Mr. Mason was appointed to the City Council in January 2008. He
filled a vacancy that was created when City Council member Jerry Ellis
was elected Mayor in November 2007.

Although in office for only a few months, Mr. Mason has launched a
strategic initiative with the nation of Singapore to create jobs in
Farmington Hills, lobbied Washington D.C. decision makers for more
government funding, and negotiated and approved along with the City
Council a new waste management contract that reduces the current cost
to taxpayers while enhancing services.

"I have been given great opportunity, and with every opportunity I
have met it with great responsibility," stated Mason. "The people of
Farmington Hills have given me the honor to serve them. Now, I look to
meet the challenge of being a Councilman with the responsibility that
the people deserve."

Mr. Mason is also working with the City Manager on a new
initiative that will benefit residents of Farmington Hills by looking
to maximize current Homestead exemption provisions for property
owners.

Mr. Mason is a seasoned business executive who has worked on many
high level projects for DaimlerChrysler. As the key officer for the
Chrysler Group's strategic business discussion & corporate governance
processes, Mr. Mason was responsible for DaimlerChrysler's global
production strategy in which the long-term direction of over $25
billion (USD) in 17 countries worldwide was defined.

Currently, Mr. Mason represents Farmington Hills as a member of
the National League of Cities International Council because of his
expertise in the areas of international culture, commerce, and trade.

"Farmington Hills is a great place to visit, a great place to
work, and a great place to raise a family. I believe that the more
people learn about the quality of life that Farmington Hills gives to
families and businesses, the more successful our city will be. We have
a culturally diverse population that has a lot to offer both
regionally and globally," stated Mason.

Robert, his wife Valentina, and daughter Victoria have lived in
Farmington Hills for over two years.
