Thai Banpu to buy rest of China coal miner for $420 mln

BANGKOK, June 6 (Reuters) - Banpu BANP.BK, Thailand's biggest coal miner, said on Friday it planned to spend $420 million to acquire the remaining 78.40 percent stake in a coal miner in China.

Banpu will own 100 percent of Asian American Coal Inc (AACI) after the share deal, the company said in a statement. ($1=33.00 Baht) (Reporting by Viparat Jantraprap; Editing by Darren Schuettler)
