Famous Dave's serves up regional BBQ on one platter
MINNETONKA, Minn.--(Business Wire)--
America loves a great summer tradition, and there are few words
linked with "summer" as often as the word "barbeque." For true
aficionados, however, the "summer barbeque" takes on a very different
taste depending on which region of the country is being represented.

With long-time regional traditions that cover everything from the
type of meat (pork and beef being the leaders) to the cooking method
(smoked vs. grilled, for example) to the type of sauce (ketchup-based,
mustard-based and others), there are as many types of barbeque as
there are regions of the U.S. And that means there are a lot of
barbeque possibilities to explore with the arrival of summer.

Famous Dave's is offering a tasty lesson in regional differences
with their limited time "BBQ Tour." This is one summer trip that won't
even require barbeque lovers to fill up the gas tank. From now until
July 20, Famous Dave's is serving up a BBQ Tour platter that features
the distinct flavors from three different legendary barbeque capitals
from around the U.S. In one serving, Famous Dave's hits St. Louis with
their signature style of spareribs, Georgia chopped pork and Texas
beef brisket. The platter also comes with another summer favorite as
an added bonus - strawberry shortcake.

"Every region of the country takes a different approach to
preparing barbeque, and at Famous Dave's we've made it our business to
know them," said Glenn Drasher, vice president of marketing Famous
Dave's. "The BBQ Tour is a delicious way to raise your barbeque IQ and
learn about some of the great flavors from around the country."

Dave Anderson, the founder of Famous Dave's, spent over 25 years
traveling the country to learn about the distinct regional styles of
barbeque to create Famous Dave's recipes.
