Topcon Names Di Federico Global Senior VP for Engineering

LIVERMORE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Ivan Di Federico has been named senior vice president of global
engineering for Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS). The announcement was
made by Ray O'Connor, TPS president and CEO.

For the past three years Di Federico had been general manager of
TSD Integrated Controls, a joint venture between Topcon and
Sauer-Danfoss, a world leader in the design, manufacture and sale of
engineered hydraulic, electric and electronic systems and components.

In making the announcement, O'Connor said, "Ivan has been
successful at every single position in his professional career. While
serving as TSD general manager, Ivan did an outstanding job in key
areas -financial performance, product innovation and worldwide market
penetration."

He said, "Ivan achieved outstanding sales growth figures, led the
efforts to introduce SiteLINK and telematics products in 2007, and
personally led successful efforts to gain major account sales with
Topcon Precision Agriculture products.

"His background in technical sales, research and development,
engineering and testing and global product development will be
invaluable assets to Topcon," O'Connor said. "It is a fact that in his
position with TSD he has already made considerable contributions to
TPS."

Prior to his stint at TSD, Di Federico was director of
Sauer-Danfoss' technical sales department for Europe, and earlier
served as director of global product development for electronics.

Prior to joining Sauer-Danfoss he was R&D electronics manager for
Caterpillar Paving Products. Other positions include manager for
engineering and testing for Bitelli Paving Products and manager of
engineering for Costruzioni Meccaniche Bertoli, both located in Italy.

Di Federico has masters degrees in both aeronautical engineering
and business administration.
