DDB Worldwide Taps Paul Gunning as CEO of Tribal DDB Worldwide Liz Ross Named
President, Tribal DDB US

NEW YORK, June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- DDB Worldwide President and CEO Chuck
Brymer announced today the promotion of Tribal DDB US East President Paul
Gunning to CEO of Tribal DDB Worldwide, effective immediately.
Gunning, who will relocate to New York from Chicago, succeeds Matt
Freeman, who is leaving Tribal DDB Worldwide to become CEO of the digital
media and entertainment company, GoFish.
"Tribal DDB's management has collectively built a strong culture and a
team that has worked together for many years. Paul joined Tribal DDB in 2000
and has served in a number of senior management positions since then," Brymer
said. "He is a terrific talent with both long-term experience in digital and a
deep understanding of our clients' needs. I am confident he will do an
outstanding job in his new position."
In addition to the promotion of Gunning, Brymer announced two other
promotions of key management. Liz Ross, formerly President of Tribal DDB US
West, now becomes President of Tribal DDB US and Global Chief Marketing
Officer, both newly created positions. Stephan Beringer, President of Tribal
DDB EMEA, assumes the additional post of Global Chief Strategic Officer, also
a new position.
"As our digital offering continues to grow it is time to leverage that
scale in the continued development of focused new products and strategic tools
under Stephan," Brymer said. "Similarly, growth and its ensuing opportunities
have required more management structure at the regional level. This was first
true in Europe and more recently in Asia Pacific, where the leadership of
Tribal DDB Asia Pacific President Amanda King and her team have advanced
Tribal DDB's reputation in terms of talent, clients and recognition.
"Now, the US will have that same concentrated leadership under Liz who has
done a tremendous job developing the operations of Tribal DDB US West and the
reputation of Tribal DDB globally," Brymer said.
Gunning noted, "We have long said at Tribal DDB that we are a team and we
will move ahead as a team. All of us at Tribal DDB have built a unique company
and culture that are prized by both our employees and the larger business
community. Liz, Amanda, Stephan and I look forward to taking Tribal DDB
through its next decade of growth."
Over the course of his eight years at Tribal DDB, Gunning has served on
the management committee of Tribal DDB Worldwide. He also is largely credited
with Tribal DDB's substantial new business wins across 437 Madison Avenue New
