NEW YORK, June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Company softball games are firing up
soon. Whether you're "rounding the bag," "taking a lead" or "stealing a base,"
remember to protect yourself from serious injury.
It's important to warm up thoroughly before playing. Especially if you've
been hibernating all winter and spring on the couch. Many sports injuries from
Weekend Warriors are what sports professional like to call "overuse injuries."
Our brains still think we are 18, but the 40-year-old hamstrings say
something different. All of a sudden you're on the field, and making up for
time not exercising. Conditioning, water and proper rest are so important.
Always have a first aid kit on hand. Use good techniques. Stay hydrated
and play by the rules! Sprains and Strains can be a pain and may be even
affect your ability to move and use the joint.
