WASHINGTON--(Business Wire)--
The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) today
announced that Ted Bush has joined its Public Policy team to focus on
Federal and State government relations issues. Mr. Bush - who has
worked in the public policy arena for the past decade - will advocate
for the interests of CompTIA's membership on all State issues, as well
as Federal matters concerning three main subject areas: e-Commerce /
Internet, telecom, and cyber security. Bush is the fifth lobbyist in
CompTIA's Washington office, which is located on Capitol Hill.

Bush's policy work here in Washington began with the office of
former Representative William Lipinski (D-IL). There, Bush became
Senior Legislative Assistant for the Representative, laboring on such
matters as immigration, labor, commerce and international trade
policy. From there, Bush took the position of Legislative Director for
the United States Business and Industry Council (USBIC), working on
the competitiveness agenda of small-to-medium-sized domestic
manufacturers before the Congress. After leaving USBIC, Bush then went
to the International Advisory Services Group as Legislative Director
for the industrial metals distribution industry, where he promoted
legislation addressing the subsidizing effects of China's exchange
rate policy.

Bush received a BS, dual major in Business Administration-Finance
and Political Science from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI.

"Ted's experience in forging strong relationships among a broad
cross-section of interests will really boost CompTIA's tool-set and
voice on the Hill and in State legislatures," noted Roger Cochetti,
Group Director of Public Policy for CompTIA. "Our members want us to
actively address policymakers on an ever-growing array of matters
before the Congress and the States. We feel Ted's dexterity in
maneuvering in this tricky environment will prove immensely beneficial
for our largely small-business membership."

Added Mr. Bush, "Through IT, CompTIA's members provide virtually
incalculable benefits for the U.S. and the world. This Association's
got a great story to tell, one I can't wait to convey to policymakers
in the States, on the Hill and at the Federal agencies."
