Piedmont Natural Gas Announces Quarterly Dividend

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At its regular quarterly
meeting of the Company's Board of Directors, Piedmont Natural Gas (NYSE: PNY)
today announced the declaration of a quarterly dividend on common stock of 26
cents per share, payable July 15, 2008 to holders of record at the close of
business on June 25, 2008.
In keeping with its previously stated policy of announcing quarterly and
annual earnings concurrent with the filing of its forms 10-Q and 10-K, the
Company will announce its fiscal year 2008 second quarter earnings on Monday,
June 9th, 2008 when it also files its form 10-Q.
