Joseph James Brennan Jr., a decorated war veteran who served 43 years in the Pennsylvania National Guard, was inducted posthumously today into the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Hall of Fame. "Lt. Col. Brennan distinguished himself with outstanding service to the Pennsylvania National Guard, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States during a military career that spanned four decades," said Maj. Gen. Jessica L. Wright, Pennsylvania adjutant general. "His influence on the Pennsylvania Guard can still be felt today, and now he takes his rightful place in our hall of fame." Born in Philadelphia, Brennan joined the Guard in 1932 when he enlisted with the 28th Infantry Division Field Artillery.
