NEW YORK, NY, Jun 06 (MARKET WIRE) --
The 2008 Best of Silver Anvil Award was presented by the Public Relations
Society of America (PRSA) to Little Caesar Enterprises for its innovative
Little Caesars Veterans Program, which provides business ownership
opportunities to veterans. The program was created to thank veterans for
their service and to provide them with options when they transition to
civilian life or seek a career change. The announcement was made last night
during PRSA's annual Silver Anvil Awards Evening, held at the Equitable Tower in
New York City.

The winning campaign was selected as the best of the 108 public relations
programs
nominated for a Silver Anvil Award, the icon of public relations practice. There
were 875 entries total.

On hand from Little Caesar Enterprises to accept the award were: David
Scrivano, president; Linda Jaworski, senior vice president, marketing; and
Kathryn Oldham, director of communications. Also on hand were U.S.
veteransand Little Caesars franchisees Patricia Evans and Robert Jones. Through
an
integrated campaign, a unique program was developed relying heavily on
public relations to launch it and create awareness of the program.

"More than one million Americans have served overseas since 9/11, and the
Little Caesar's Veterans Program has helped them rebuild their civilian lives
when
they returned," said Jeffrey Julin, PRSA chair & CEO. "This winning program has
blended patriotism with entrepreneurship in a stellar example of best practices
warranting the profession's top honor of the year -- congratulations."

The Little Caesars Veterans Program, established Nov. 11, 2006, was inspired
by
Army Staff Sgt. Robbie Doughty, who lost his legs serving in Iraq. After getting
to know Doughty, Little Caesars founder and Chairman Michael Ilitch, a former
Marine, wanted to do more. So he challenged the Little Caesars management
team to create a program that would help more veterans get into business
for themselves. The program offers honorably discharged, service-disabled
veterans who qualify as Little Caesars franchisees a benefit of up to $68,000.
Honorablydischarged, non-service-disabled veterans who qualify as Little Caesars
franchisees are eligible for a benefit of $10,000.

"The Little Caesars Veterans Program reflects Little Caesars' long tradition
of giving back," said Kathryn Oldham, director of communications, Little Caesar
Enterprises, Inc. "Many people have contributed to its success, and we hope
corporate leaders from other companies will see that programs can be created
to make a difference for veterans. We're honored that the Little Caesars
Veterans
Program has been recognized with this distinguished award."

"The Little Caesars Veterans Program truly represents the best in public
relations because it demonstrates how good corporate citizenship is good
public relations and also good for business," said Sherry Goldman, 2008 Honors
and Awards Committee chair and president of Goldman Communications Group. "It is
an
exemplary program. We're proud to be able to recognize their effort with our
Best
of Silver Anvil award."

The Silver Anvil awards program has grown in scope and stature since its
inception in 1946, and awards are now given in 59 categories and
subcategories. To date, more than 1,200 organizations have received Silver Anvil
awards for excellence in strategic public relations planning and
