LOS ANGELES, CA, Jun 06 (MARKET WIRE) --
Australian R&B sensation Tanika Turner is riding an Aussie-sized wave of
excitement over her first single, "It's Right Here," which is holding steady at
#8 on Billboard's Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles and #3 on Billboard's Hot
Dance Singles Sales chart. With an eager public's interest in Tanika and her
music growing day by day, her story made its mark on Australia's "Today
Tonight," tabloid current affairs program produced by the Seven Network.
Alongside the demand for Tanika's life story, and the expectations over
therelease of her anticipated debut album, Australia's "Today Tonight"
highlighted
the creative relationship she has developed with Thomas Goodin, CEO of Kountree
Boyz Entertainment, on Thursday, June 4 (Seven Network, 6:30 pm;
http://au.todaytonight.yahoo.com/). Turner has been tirelessly performing in
song
and dance throughout Australia since she was three years old. In her quest to
perfecting her singing talents, Tanika reached out through MySpace.com and
met Thomas Goodin. After only a few, brief exchanges, Goodin knew he had
something big! Tanika was flown to the U.S. and worked in the studio on
several tracks. With the meteoric rise of her first single, "It's Right
Here," Goodin believes he is truly seeing "the next Britney" in the making.
With that in mind, he is currently working on something quite unique. Goodin
will be matching up the Australian and U.S. music scenes with a simultaneous
release of Tanika Turner's debut album. Based on the talent he has found and
continues to pursue, it has been said on numerous occasions that Goodin could
be the next Barry Gordy.
KBE artist/producer Sean Kristopher knows the industry well, but his talents
reach even beyond the musical norm. WWE Pro-wrestler and 2005 Tag Team
Champion Trevor Murdoch needed a theme song and Kristopher entered the
musical ring on his side. "Miss Understood" was created by Kristopher and
engineered by Steve Walter in record time and has since debuted on WWE's "Raw."
Producer Peggy Phillip enjoys the notoriety associated with creating the theme
music for a hero of the squared circle: "This was such a fun project to work
on with Sean and Steve, the time went by so quickly and we're all really
happy with the final track."
Kountree Boyz Entertainment, a full-service record label and music
management
company is seeking the right distribution company for Tanika Turner, and KBE is
focused on bringing new sounds and trends to the music scene. Founded in 2000
by Thomas J. Goodin III from Texas, KBE is currently operated by its L.A.-based
COO
David Rothstein. Set to be one of the biggest and most influential music
labels in their niche, KBE's way has been paved by industry veteran and
accomplished producer Sean "Barney Rubble" Thomas, now president of Kountree
Boyz. Thomas has worked with a long list of musical greats, including Dr.
Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, and more recently, Freddie Jackson, Melissa
Morgan, and Hi Five. Thomas brings a high quality production and an extremely
experienced writing team to his clients, striving to provide unique and
distinct sounds for all the Kountree Boyz artists.
