NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Jun 06 (MARKET WIRE) --
The Board of Directors of the Hyperion Brookfield Total Return Fund,
Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE: HTR) declared a monthly dividend of $0.065 per
share, payable on June 26, 2008 to stockholders of record on June 17,
2008. The ex-dividend date is June 13, 2008. Based on the NYSE closing
price of $6.92 on June 5, 2008, the Fund's yield was 11.27%. Based on the
net asset value per share of $6.72 on May 30, 2008, the Fund's yield was
11.61%. As of May 30, 2008, the Fund's average duration, as measured on a
net asset basis, was 2.7 years.
